This newly created role is a hugely exciting opportunity in an established and scaling Australian owned agricultural technology business, which is quickly having important impacts in resource-efficient and sustainable agricultural production around the globe.

The business has high-profile backers, is well funded and expanding offshore, and the new Head of People & Culture will play a key role in the business as it scales. The role is hands-on and generalist, and also a key part of the senior leadership team, contributing to the Integrated Business Planning process as the SME in people, culture, attraction, retention, and avoiding “stall points” in the growth trajectory through dynamic and business-wide resource planning. The Integrated Business Planning process contributors include team members from operations, technology, sales, product, finance and HR so there are genuine and tangible commercial contributions to be made in this role.

The business has an excellent culture, and the maintenance and development the working environment is critical as the business grows into new locations - it is anticipated the team with be mostly on the east coast of Australia and the USA’s west coast.

There are also BAU elements to the role and the Head of P&C will be hands-on when necessary and also manage relationships with outsourced providers in HR compliance, HR systems, recruitment, L&D and so on.

We are looking for an experienced P&C Manager with a desire to join a dynamic, innovative and progressive organisation, who is excited to be part of shaping a growing business where P&C is highly regarded, and who is passionate about supporting teams and individuals to succeed and do their greatest work.

You have high level communication skills, with the ability to negotiate with and influence key stakeholders, and the ability to provide pro-active advice and cross-organisational support. Tertiary qualifications in HR, business or a related discipline and experience in a scale-up environment is a plus but not essential.
