**The Role**
The Cyber & Electronic Warfare Directorate (CEWD) Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) position is responsible for security management and oversight of HQ CEWD, security staff of all CEWD Units. The position is responsible to Director CEWD (DCEW) through Executive Officer CEWD (XO CEWD) to ensure CEWD meets all security compliance and assurance requirements and provides specialist support to DCEW on complex and unique security requirements in both protective security and Special Access operating environments. A recognised 'Security SME', the position has responsibilities CEWD-wide in supporting Commanders and Unit across the Directorate.

Specific functions, roles and duties include operating as the HQ CEWD Security SME to DCEW and XO CEWD; assurance of security across CEWD including conduct of risk assessments for HQ CEWD awareness and treatment; overseeing and contribution to CEWD-related facility management and special programs security & ICT frameworks; and generation and management of all security related policy, instructions and BLIs.

Our ideal applicant will have a fundamental understanding of Australian Government security, specific to the Australian Defence Force. They will have strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, able to coordinate with subordinate units and compile information, to be cleared by the command chain. They will have the ability to prioritise workloads, remain flexible to changing demands and, at times, work to tight deadlines.

Collaboration and adding value in a dynamic team environment will be a key part of the role as they conduct their work in partnership with multidisciplinary teams comprising uniformed, Public Service and Defence Industry personnel.
