Community Services #1 (CS#1) is profit for purpose, managing and delivering a range of services designed to meet community needs for over 35 years. We seek passionate and motivated people who are keen to join our agile, fun, responsive organisation, and who share our view of community.
We are seeking a Diploma qualified Team Leader to create amazing experiences for the children at Mawson Out of School Hours Care, and to build strong, professional relationships with children, families and staff. The successful applicant will work closely with the Director to lead the team, and will enjoy the benefits and support of being part of a diverse Children Services program.
The Team Leader sits within the Children Services team and reports to the service Director.
**Key accountabilities include**:

- Lead day-to-day service operations
- Provide direction and mentoring to team members on activities, supervising and interacting with children
- Build strong, trusting relationships between children, families and team members
- Support the service Director

**Team Leader requirements**:

- Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or similar), or completed at least 2 years of full time study in a degree course with 2 years’ experience working with children over preschool age
- ACT Working with Vulnerable People card
- Evidence of COVID vaccination
- Current First Aid certificate, including asthma and anaphylaxis
- National Police Check

**To be successful in the role, you will**:

- Have excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Work well under pressure, be proactive and a self-starter
- Be comfortable leading and working as part of a team focused on the children’s learning and well-being
- Be passionate about developing happy, capable and confident children through an engaging program
