We are currently seeking a values-driven Concierge to create a welcoming environment that reflects the mission of the Salvation Army. The role will effectively manage reception area of The Salvation Army Parramatta Corps site with a focus on excellent service delivery.

This is a permanent full-time position, 38 hours per week

You will successfully
- Be the contact for the Community Partnerships such as Foodbank, Secondbite coordinate the donations.
- Provide basic assessment of community members needs and providing appropriate assistance outside if emergency relief/connect site hours.
- Ensure the building is kept secure, according to protocols.
- Make appropriate referrals and network with suitable services based on need, in particular to relevant community services or pastoral assistance.
- Acceptance of monetary and food donations as per donation protocols.
- Assist the Salvos expressions with administration tasks as directed.
- Assist with Venue Hire - setting up/packing down spaces, directing groups, assisting with group enquiries.
- Volunteer management - keep records and maintain corps Workday by adding/removing volunteers, following up checks, forms etc in particular for the connect site.
- Order/maintain supplies for community services and corps including community pantry, café and other corps supplies, Front desk, building and general administration tasks as directed.

You will have
- Certificate III in Community Services would be highly regarded
- First aid certificate (or willingness to complete)
- Mental Health First Aid (or willingness to complete)
- Aggressive response training completed (or a willingness to complete)
- Safe food handling course completed if necessary
- Understanding and willingness to work inline with the Trauma Informed Care Principles.
- 1+ year of previous experience in community services or reception
- Ability to use MS Office and moderate level of computer literacy
- The incumbent will need to be able to walk up and down fire stairs, in order to assist with building evacuation
- A willingness to undergo a National Police check
