To ensure this is realised, we are currently seeking a General Manager - People & Culture to guide leaders and staff throughout the organisation, to ensure that their practices are in line with best practice and sector requirements. We are seeking a passionate and collaborative people specialist, dedicated to creating a positive workplace culture and ensuring that our client’s values are realised.

As part of the Executive Team, you will be given the freedom to mould the role and create something new, within an atmosphere of support and camaraderie. Our client is not big enough that change is hard, and they aren’t small enough that you won’t feel challenged.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Overseeing the current and future people and culture needs of the organisation
- Providing recommendations to the leadership team regarding sourcing strategies and workforce planning needs
- Build and develop an internal HR function to support internal client groups in all HR matters including performance management, learning & development, leadership development, coaching, mentoring and counselling
- Developing, maintaining and implementing human resource systems, processes, procedures and infrastructure
- Identifying and implementing initiatives that are engaging, follow a co-design process and that build a positive and high performing culture
- Creating and implementing a learning and development framework to ensure continual professional development
- Providing advice and recommendations around employee relations, Modern Awards and enterprise agreements and/or legal requirements surrounding Fair Work, to minimise legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance
- Implementing a reward and recognition framework that provides equal opportunity for all employees recognising individual contributions
- Coaching and supporting managers and employees on all areas of performance management, performance development, recruitment and retention, engagement, position description development, workforce planning and succession planning
- Support the Board and Executive through the provision of relevant HR data, information and advice
- Creating a place of learning to ensure that people have the knowledge they need, to do their job well.

**Ideal background**:

- We would love someone who has a background in human services, especially in a disability service organisation
- You will be a visual leader with a proven track record partnering with senior leaders, forming positive working relationships, influencing outcomes and driving change and continuous improvement
- You have an ability to provide analysis, feedback and recommendations on people issues
- Strong experience in employee relations, investigations and grievance management, and the disciplines that are essential to human resource management

You will also have extensive HR business partnering experience in a complex environment, ideally with exposure across the disciplines of workforce and strategic planning, talent acquisition, attraction and retention, IR and workplace change, employee relations, performance management and capability development.
