The Banksia Tree is looking for a Venue Manager to join our team and a part time supervisor

**What’s the role?**

A capable leader, with barista skills, who can both give and accept feedback and understand the workings of a busy and trendy cafe. To keep all our staff motivated, happy and ensure the daily tasks are completed. To run the cafe smoothly.

**Who are we?**

Myself and my wife Halie own The Banksia Tree cafe and Restaurant in Port Adelaide and we are fast becoming one of the premier dining destinations in the west. Although we have over 20 years experience, we allow our team to do the task and we just set the boundaries and guidelines to steer you in the right direction.

Work life balance is super important for me and so we offer 5 days 730-330pm with allocated time for admin and time off the floor. We can offer family friendly, flexible arrangements such a 4 or 5 day work week, and flexible weekend shifts on a rotating roster.

We encourage creativity, so you can have a say in menu items, specials, cabinet offerings and day to day operations.

Weekly managers meetings to make sure communication is across all team members.

Working with awesome suppliers, product and. Great team. I like to reward my team often and we all go out for dinner/fun 2-3 times a year on me

**what experience should I have?**

Barista/free pour latte art. 2-3 years working in a busy cafe. Previous Ordering experience and people Management is a requirement.

Some wine/cocktail experience preferred.

**Who are you working for?**
We are Halie and Fabian, we own The Banksia Tree and love what we do.We have both worked in the industry for 15+ years and have a young family of our own. Work life balance is important for us and we believe it should be for our team as well.
As much as I love being on the floor, We do have a head chef, Mao and need someone great to look after the FOH so that we can ensure that we have a business that operates well inside and out. Our team are absolute legends, but could use a hand as we continue to grow and evolve.
