**Your Team**

The Data Platforms Domain in CBA brings together the process, people and technology assets supporting big data, core banking operations, and AI enablement across the Bank. The team have the monumental task of ensuring that data is available to all areas in the Group to enable insights and AI and make CBA a global technology leader in banking. With Cloud Data platforms and tooling being at the heart of the Bank, almost every customer-facing channel relies on data platforms in one way or another.

The Greenfields Crew within the Data Platforms and Operations Domain are responsible for building data and analytics capability for critical bank functions and have highly visible change initiatives.

**Your impact and contribution**

As a Product Owner within the Greenfields Crew, you will work closely with technical, data science and business teams to deliver exceptional outcomes for our business stakeholders and customers. You will be responsible for developing and delivering on the Group-wide data transformation strategy. This will incorporate the decomposing of data monoliths, modernisation of existing data capabilities and development of the strategic roadmap for future state data and AI delivery. You will be leading a team of data and technical experts to achieve this, while creating a psychologically safe, inclusive, accountable and high performance culture, and working collaboratively within and across Crews.

You will report to the Crew Lead, Greenfields. As a Product Owner for platform capabilities, you will come with proven expertise in big data, architecture and design, as well as team leadership skills, working within largely complex data products teams. You will hold a passion for providing data and platform engineering solutions, contributing to a major set of technical decisions and build, while constantly defining the technical roadmaps in line with business’s strategic goals.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Define the squad product vision, goals and roadmap aligned with the crew objectives and purpose.
- Design and deliver data engineering solutions for products and platforms to address identified needs or opportunities and build and prioritise the squad backlog in collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Lead and develop a squad of team members including data engineers, data analysts, quality engineers and Tech BAs, creating a psychologically safe, inclusive, accountable and high-performance culture.
- Identify risk, dependencies and issues for the squad in line with excellent management of operational risk and compliance outcomes.
- Stay abreast of external market trends - Big data, AI, privacy, security, technology and innovation.
- Build and foster strong relationships across the product value chain, including Chief Data Office, Chief Technology Office, Retail Technology, Risk and Compliance leading virtual teams to ensure efficient delivery of strategic initiatives and resolution of issues.

**Technical and Functional skills**:
We are seeking an experienced Product Owner with a big **data and analytics**background.

Experience with the following will help you succeed in the role:

- Proven track record as a product owner on delivering capabilities and data products for Financial Crime.
- Experience with implementing data governance requirements and controls on data platform to meet Financial Crime requirements.
- Experience in leading discovery of Financial Crime data projects and improving solution design.
- Adept at defining and driving technology roadmaps and execute relevant strategies within the domain or reference architecture and help foster an excellent product, data and engineering culture that is open, safe, productive and fun for everyone
- Stakeholder engagement skills.
