**The role**:
Our client is seeking human resource professionals who are passionate about Employee and Industrial Relations. As the Employee Relations Specialist you will provide advice and support to leaders on high-risk and high-complex Employee Relations and Industrial Relations matters, in order to support the People and Performance strategy.
As such this role puts you at the heart of the business and will assist in driving a high performance culture which is aligned with outstanding values.
Other responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Engage in end-to-end case management for high-risk/very high-risk complex Employee Relations (**ER**) matters to resolution. This includes drafting all correspondence relating to the case, providing advice throughout the process, and completing all associated administration.
- Conduct confidential workplace investigations relating to high risk and highly complex team member grievances and disciplinary matters including, but not limited to grievances of harassment and discrimination.
- Provide business leaders with specialist advice on matters relating to policies, procedures, employment risks and other high risk/complex employment related issues, as required.
- Provide administrative support to the ER Legal Counsel pertaining to matters before industrial or related tribunals. This includes but is not limited supporting in the preparation of correspondence, submissions, and briefs, and required.
- Provide support (as required), to the ER Manager, Consultancy on very high risk and complex senior ER matters.
Our client is open to hiring people based on their potential and long term aptitude. You do not need to be an expert in ER / IR matters but you need to be passionate about the field and have some theoretical understanding of the landscape.
You could be a junior lawyer or law graduate who is looking to make a pivot into the discipline of HR but still wanting to utilise your legal training or knowledge.
Equally, you could be a HR Manager of Business Partner who is fascinated by the ER / IR space and want to become a specialist in the same.
Either way, the role holder will possess exemplary communication skills in the written and verbal form. Tenacity, a constant thirst for learning and the ability to work in an ever changing environment will be the bed rock of your behaviours.
