**About this role**
The primary focus of this position is to provide Urban Design services to the Urban Design and master planning discipline in Brisbane. In particular, this role will focus on providing sustainable solutions to cities and complex urban and regional environments. Our aim is to help our clients create sustainable, inclusive and socially successful places for people.

**What will I do?**
- Collaborate with principals, leads, and clients to deliver innovative and creative urban design concepts and solutions for public and private sector clients in Brisbane.
- Engage in projects from vision to implementation, requiring strong skills in concept development and communication.
- Develop sustainable strategies and solutions within the master-planning design team, driven by a comprehensive understanding of environmental, social, and urban challenges.
- Contribute to proposal preparation and tender responses, seizing project opportunities.
- Take a strategic view of the business to support Arup's development plan while being responsible for executing responsibilities outlined in Arup's Quality Management System. Additionally, provide guidance, training, motivation, and direction to junior team members.

**What will I bring?**
- Qualified in Architecture, Urban Design, or Landscape Design with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience.
- Proficiency in various design software such as Revit, Rhino, and AutoCAD in both 2D and 3D.
- Motivated and optimistic individual with excellent organizational and communication skills, both visual and written.
- Capable of working within or managing small teams, inspiring design excellence.
- Strong conceptual design ability and commitment to sustainable design principles. Experience in complex urban design and regeneration projects, including expertise in Rhino, SketchUp, Grasshopper, and parametric design. Proficiency in Adobe Suite is essential.
