School of the Good Shepherd Primary School is committed to the safety, wellbeing and protection of all children in our care.

The Teaching and Learning Leader (inc REL) has a central role in collaboration with the School Principal and Parish Priest to lead the community in a process of deep learning enlivened by the Holy Spirit. With the Leadership Team the Teaching and Learning Leader (inc REL) will promote opportunities for community members to deepen their relationship with God and empower them to work to create a just world. The Teaching and Learning Leader (inc REL), in collaboration with the curriculum team will continue to develop and implement an inquiry based approach to learning encompassing all areas of the Victorian Curriculum, including the RE curriculum. This role will oversee the documentation and implementation of the curriculum scope and sequence and high-quality assessment and reporting practices.

This is an ongoing teaching position with a two year tenure for the T&L /REL (POL 3) role.

Applications are invited for leaders who are able to design engaging learning opportunities, manage change and support students in a developing environment.

**It is expected that the successful applicant can**:
Be self-motivated and able to work independently

Build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, parents and children

Be prepared to be active in our school community and involved in extra-curricular school activities

Have a deep understanding of the Religious Education Curriculum

Have a deep understanding of current pedagogical practices to enhance teaching and learning

**The successful applicant must**:
Hold a current VIT registration

Hold Accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic School
