**Responsibilities**:
- Answer telephone calls to take messages from clients or to provide information
- Receive walk-in customers and guests and make them comfortable
- Direct or escort guests or visitors to specific areas
- Create adjust or cancel appointments when necessary
- Faxing, scanning, mailing and filing documents
- Inform other members of staff about visitors or cancellations
- Enter customer details into the company's records or database
- Copy, file and maintain digital or paper records
- Maintaining the office space and re-stocking office supplies
- Handle all incoming and outgoing correspondence
- Perform other administrative work like typing, proofreading, and transcription
**Required Skills**:
- **Interpersonal skills**: As the face of the organisation, receptionists answer phones and talk to customers and employees in a friendly way. This helps create positive relationships and a good impression about the company they work for.
- **Clerical skills**: Receptionists perform documentation work, word processing, file and record management and other office work. Successful receptionists have excellent organisation skills and know how to use office equipment such as printers, etc.
- **Customer service**: Welcoming clients, understanding their needs and providing good customer service are other essential skills that a receptionist needs to have as well as checking in Pilates customers for their sessions.
- **Multitasking skills**: Receptionists handle multiple things at the same time. At any moment, they might be answering calls, receiving clientsand liaising with employees. Being able to multitask in a fast-paced environment is an essential skill to succeed in this role.
- **Physical stamina**: While the bulk of the receptionist's work is done while sitting behind a desk, there are occasions that they'll have to do some lifting, shifting or standing.
- **Detail-oriented**: A receptionist pays attention to detail while performing individual tasks and avoids distractions. This way, they're able to deliver high-quality work throughout the workday.
- **Excellent time management**: Setting priorities and meeting deadlines are a key part of the work culture in many organisations.
- **Team player**: While the receptionist does clerical work alone most of the time, they can collaborate with other employees on joint tasks or projects.
- **Continuous learning**: Whether it's taking a professional course in their industry or mastering new software or systems, the ability to learn new skills is valuable for a receptionist.
- **Clinic presentation**: Being our workplace and the face of our business, the receptionist will ensure that the place is tidy, neat and presentable at all times.
**Salary**: $55,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
