What does the job look like?

Join our Retail team in Eastern Creek, NSW, with an exciting opportunity available for a Transport Allocator. In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for allocating, route planning, and dispatching metro deliveries for one of Australia’s largest supermarket chains—playing a key part in keeping daily operations running smoothly. We’re currently recruiting for a PM Allocator on a permanent full-time contract, working a rotating 3-day on, 2-day off, 2-day on, 3-day off roster, with shifts running from 4:00 PM to 4:00 AM.

Key areas:

- Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal stakeholders, providing clear instructions while fostering positive relationships.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records related to run sheets, delivery schedules, and compliance requirements.
- Ensure regular communication with customers, keeping them well-informed about their scheduled deliveries or any changes that may impact them.
- Always Commit to Safety Standards and COR requirements, including daily compliance tasks such as yard inspections, speed and fatigue audits, and load restraint checks.
- Experience in transport load planning, driver or fleet allocation is highly regarded, but not essential - a positive attitude and willingness to learn are key.
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills - experience with TMS is highly regarded
- Strong geographical knowledge of Sydney metro
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment, remaining organised and efficient
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
