**Qualifications and experience include**:

- Minimum one year specialist medical reception and administration experience, ideally within a private practice environment
- Deliver an exceptional patient experience and help patients prepare for their provider visit.
- Ensure patients are always delighted with the level of care they receive and feel comfortable and respected by all our staff.
- Ensure services are in a practical, coordinated and patient-focused manner.
- Assist patients in navigating the healthcare system.
- Recent experience with Microsoft Office365
- Preferred experience with a specialist Practice Management Software
- Formatting, editing and sending of specialist doctor Letters
- An understanding of claims ie. Medicare, DVA claims, 3rd Party claims ie. Workcover, Private Health Fund HICAPS claims.
- Independently manage the End of Day Banking and reconciliations
- Support the practice manager with adhoc tasks and independently assist with running the day to day clinic
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with and relate to people from all walks of life and with different cultural backgrounds - especially patients over 65 years old and children.
- Highly organised and demonstrated customer service skills, with excellent attention to detail and good initiative
- Adaptable and practical with an ability to thrive under pressure

- Demonstrated knowledge of policies and procedural guidelines that have legal implications, for example, ensuring documentation conforms to legal requirements
- Identify and respond to unsafe practices, for example, implement interventions to prevent unsafe practices and/or contravention of law
- Have a vigilant attitude to accuracy, being prepared to double-check as necessary
- Be able to work cooperatively and have high work ethics
- Must have the ability to prioritise and organise, with attention to detail and ability to use own initiative when necessary
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development

**Other features**
- Casual part-time hours two to three days a week between 8 - 5.30 pm. Flexibility for additional leave cover preferred.
- Professional development is provided and it is expected that the receptionist will participate on a regular basis
- Remuneration, based on experience
- Immediate start.
