**The Position**
This position's primary focus is to establish a planned maintenance schedule for the lifetime of assets and facilities used to service our fleet of trains. The Plant & Equipment Facilities Manager will work closely with our Asset Management and Infrastructure Facility teams to ensure that strategies are fit. Working with the facilities maintenance teams complies with Rolling Stocks's needs and processes. Establish and agree on a process for purchasing and disposing of franchise assets.
**Responsibilities**
The purpose of this position is to manage the:
- Interface between Rolling Stock and Infrastructure facility teams, developing future strategies, transition, direction, and ownership using the Commercial Management Framework, and in collaboration with Fleet Operational Excellence Contract Manager delivers the best contract packages for Rolling Stock
- Planning and coordination of Plant, Equipment and Facilities (where applicable) assets, including the supervision and management of relevant contracts and contractors within budget and KPIs ensuring all Plant & Equipment, are safe and fit for purpose.
- End-to-end ownership of the disposal and renewals of assets when they are no longer fit for purpose. Establish process and agree on methodology with all relevant stakeholders
- Relationship with the Infrastructure Facilities team to define responsibility and accountability regarding maintenance and renewals of rolling stock depot assets (non-Plant & Equipment), including managing and agreeing on related budget transfers
**Requirements**:
- Tertiary qualification in financial or business management
- Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge and ability, particularly Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Substantial experience providing service across multiple business areas in a large organisation
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate for key outcome
