This position provides leadership and coordination services for the implementation and evaluation of strategic departmental projects that support government priorities.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Provide supervision within the Calculations, Data and Systems Support team to ensure the delivery of quality data services in accordance with relevant legislative provisions, strategic priorities and departmental policies and procedures. Provide leadership and management in the development and implementation of projects, ensuring effective and high quality, innovative and practical responses to strategic priorities identified by government. Represent the department with other levels of government and the non-government sector, where applicable, to ensure coordinated strategies and policies. Identify and provide advice on infrastructure requirements relevant to project activities and, where necessary, coordinate and oversee the provision of these within resource constraints. Liaise with staff of other directorates, where applicable, to ensure that activities relevant to the CDSS work are appropriate. Contribute to the department's activities to achieve the vision in accordance with the values and priorities. Coordinate strategies to ensure staff are involved in the development and user testing of any new or existing ICT system initiatives. Contribute to the development and implementation of communication and training strategies to underpin the effective implementation of ICT system strategies. Provide high level advice and expertise to Regional Directors, Youth Justice Service Centres and Detention Centre management teams on a broad range of contemporary organisational and practice improvement strategies, programs and initiatives related to ICT systems implementation. Establish and maintain effective relationships with service delivery staff and staff within Corporate Services.Employees must be, and remain, vaccinated against COVID-19 in accordance with the department's COVID-19 Vaccination Requirements.You must provide one of the following types of evidence for the hiring manager to sight before an offer of employment will be made: - written confirmation of COVID-19 vaccination provided as part of the vaccination process, such as a record of vaccine card

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people are encouraged to apply.
Previous experience in Youth Justice Service Centres would also be advantageous.
