**Our Centre**

**C&K Herston Road** is located off Herston Road in Herston and entry to our centre is via Sports Lane, opposite the QUT Kelvin Grove stadium and behind QUT Kelvin Grove campus. Our centre is less than 15 minutes from the Brisbane city centre and close to bus stops servicing the area.

At **C&K Herston Road Community Long Day Care Centre**, we welcome children from 6 weeks of age to 5 years old and provide care and early learning five days a week from 6:30am to 6:00pm.

**Joining our Family**

Our Centre is now looking for an **Assistant Educator** who is passionate about working alongside children in their early years to work in either the Toddler room or Float position, 5 days a week. When joining our Centre, you will contribute to a team that values open communication and sees children as competent and capable learners.

You will be working on a permanent full-time basis, 38 hours per week Monday to Friday. No weekend works

**Ideally you will have**:

- Certificate lll qualification in early childhood (qualification must be recognised by ACECQA); or enrolled and actively working towards
- Current First Aid, CPR and Asthma & Anaphylaxis certification
- Hold or willing to obtain a paid Blue Card
- Previous experience working with children
- Passion for creating and delivering a simulating learning environment
- An understanding of the provision of a safe, well planned indoor and outdoor learning environment
- Skilled with documenting observations of children's behaviour and development, in the form of learning stories
- An ability to implement a planned program, in collaboration with the Room Leader ensuring the needs of individual children and the group are met
