Education Cloud Data Analyst

We have a new contract for a Education Cloud Data Analyst on a contract basis in Melbourne.

Our client strategically unified its multiple CRM systems onto a Salesforce platform called 'OneCRM' to streamline processes, reduce administrative effort, and empower staff to focus on serving our stakeholders. As we continue the adoption roadmap, extending the features and functions of OneCRM to meet stakeholder expectations is central to the operational and delivery objectives of the Digital Products portfolio.

The decision to implement Salesforce's latest sector specific technology stack, Education Cloud. This will optimize capabilities across Student Services, Marketing, and other operational areas to improve the constituent experience, value realization, and operational & fiscal efficiencies. This initial implementation also paves the way for a transformed Admissions capability to be built on Education Cloud.

The Data Analyst will work with multiple stakeholders across the Business to provide data analysis, documentation, mappings and reporting for initiatives, projects and backlog items delivered by the Digital Products Centre of Excellence (DP CoE). This role will work with business and technology stakeholders to provide analysis to support decision making processes and to elicit, analyse and specify business, functional and non-functional requirements. They will also document processes, perform solution validation and support implementation of solutions.

**Essential criteria**:

- Extensive experience of data analysis with Salesforce and Oracle in Higher Education, with exposure to the Salesforce Higher Education Data Architecture or the Salesforce Education Cloud data model. Student Administration, Timetabling, Ciriculum Research, and Advancement data exposure also desirable.
- ** Data Analysis and Statistical Knowledge**: Proficiency in analysing large and complex datasets, identifying patterns, trends, and insights to support business decision-making. Familiarity with statistical concepts, techniques, and tools for data analysis, such as hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and data modelling.
- ** Data Visualization, Interpretation and Reporting**: Ability to present data visually through charts, graphs, and dashboards using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Excel to effectively communicate findings and insights. Ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights in clear and concise reports, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
- ** Query Language and Database Management**: Strong understanding of SQL (Structured Query Language) and/or Salesforce Object Query Language (SOQL) for querying and manipulating data from relational databases.
- ** Programming Skills**: Proficiency in programming languages like Python or R for data manipulation, analysis, and automation tasks.
- ** Data Quality Management**: Experience in data cleaning, data validation, and pre-processing techniques to ensure data quality and reliability. Knowledge of various data mining techniques and tools to extract information from diverse data sources, including structured and unstructured data. Identify and implement process changes that will improve the overall data quality in consultation with the Platform Data Architect.
- **Problem-Solving**: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify data-related challenges, propose solutions, and make data-driven recommendations.
- Strong evidence of customer focus and relationship management is essential for this role as the incumbent is representing Business Services to the wider University and be organised, detail oriented and accurate, and be adept at working independently and as a team player
