The Residential Tenancies Authority (RTA) is an independent, state government statutory authority that administers the Residential Tenancies and Rooming Accommodation Act 2008 (the Act).
The RTA works with all sector groups including tenants, property managers and owners, community and industry stakeholder groups and the Queensland Government to provide tenancy information and support, bond management, dispute resolution, investigation, and education services.
RTA's vision is 'Renting that works for everyone'.
The Government Relations & Strategy Advisor is a critical role that coordinates strategic, business planning and performance reporting activities and ensures the RTA is compliant with whole-of-government reporting requirements, policies and standards.

**To be successful you will need**:

- Demonstrated ability to develop strategic partnerships externally and internally to meet both RTA objectives and whole-of-government reporting requirements
- The ability to evaluate and improve team and organisational planning and reporting workflows, policies, processes and systems to promote an efficient, collaborative and innovative operational environment
- The ability to drive and coordinate environmental scanning to ensure the Board and Executive Leadership Team are informed of emerging risks, trends, data, or parliamentary and stakeholder developments that may impact the Queensland residential rental sector
- Exceptional written skills and verbal communication that is clear and concise and appropriate for the situation while promoting trust, respect and integrity
- A high level of judgement and integrity in handling urgent and sensitive information and intergovernmental and ministerial requests
