One of Australia's leading Federal Government Departments are seeking a skilled and experienced **Policy Officer/ Policy Analyst **to join a dynamic team in **Canberra ACT**. You will lead and assist in the leadership of the quality review of policy data for a Federal initiative as well as other data-related activities. The **Policy Officer/ Policy Analyst **will be offered an initial 6-month contract with extension options and a rewarding hourly rate.

**The successful Policy Officer/ Policy Analyst will be responsible for, but not limited to;**
- Lead the quality review of reference data used and other data-related activities.
- Show initiative and ownership, while being able to take direction and feedback from their supervisor.
- Support the accuracy and maintenance of the data and the considerations around the addition of new data and datasets
- Gain an understanding of and contribute to standard operating procedures.

**The successful Policy Officer/ Policy Analyst must have experience in the following**:

- Previous experience in similar role with proven ability to gain an understanding of and contribute to standard operating procedures.
- Excellent organisational skills and well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to maintain positive working relationships, and to build collaborative working relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Familiarity with medical terminology would be an advantage
