Lead Data Analyst

**What you'll be doing**
The Lead Data Analyst will be responsible for developing analytics capabilities and services within the digital and marketing domain, and on facilitating business interactions in a way that allows data to inform, shape and drive the business forward.

- Use data to generate insights and leverage the insights to drive business and product initiatives in a way that attracts new customers and maintains customer loyalty, together with long-term revenue and profitability.
- Inform business actions and make recommendations in all areas of the digital and marketing domain (end-to-end), including acquisition channels, retention channels and web analytics, while keeping abreast of all data work flowing from these domains.
- Define KPIs for key digital product and marketing initiatives, monitor them, and inform the business what should be done based on historical performance
- Support and continuously improve BI reporting platform
- Engage with the business, intercept business ideas, questions and concerns and translate them into hypeses
- Ask probing questions to ensure the business problem and the analysis requirements are clearly defined and prioritize the requests accordingly
- Lead and mentor other Data Analysts and BI Engineers and assist them on their development and career goals.
- Contribute to the broader BI roadmap that aligns with the business strategy

**The skills you’ll have**
- Tertiary qualified in relevant discipline (Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role within the data and analytics domain. This includes having experience in scoping, development and delivery of BI solutions and actionable insights within the marketing and digital product domains
- Experience in prioritizing and delivering projects within deadlines
- Experience working in an Agile environment and with Martech and web tools
- Understanding of e-Commerce customer journeys
- Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills
- Strong communication skills to translate analytical solution outcomes in the context of business impacts and benefits to a non-technical audience
- Familiarity with A/B testing and measurement for eCommerce
- A good understanding of Data Engineering and Machine Learning techniques and the ability to coordinate and manage resources across these squads
- Experience with digital analytics tools, such as Adobe, Google Analytics or similar, is an advantage
- Must be curious and business outcome focused with a problem-solving attitude
- Self-starter attitude with the ability to work in a dynamic and very fast paced environment
- Can work both exclusive and collaboratively with other squads, tribes and business teams
