**About the role**

We are seeking Casual Disability Support Workers who are available across a 24hr/7days rotating roster, to join our dedicated supported-independent living (SIL) team located in
- Edmondson Park - (South West Sydney)
- Oran Park - (South West Sydney)
- Mount Pritchard (South West Sydney) YOUTH & CHILDREN SERVICES

**General Tasks**
- Provide support to participants with physical and/or intellectual disabilities.
- Understand and provide appropriate care to participants with low needs to participants with high needs who demonstrate a range of challenging behaviours
- Be responsible for assisting with activities relating to personal care, transportation, daily living (cooking/cleaning), community support and recreational activities.
- Implementing and monitoring practices that will promote a healthy and nutritional lifestyle.
- Provide, administer or prompt to administer medications as outlined in the participant’s Medication Management Plan
- Understand and implement a participants individual Behaviour Support Plan into their support service and complete any reporting relating to behavioural incidences.

- Work with a team and autonomously
- Previous experience working with Diabetes, Dementia, Autism, Challenging Behaviours, Down Syndrome, Mental Health participants.
- Honest and Reliable
- Kind, Compassionate, Sense of Humour, Can-do Attitude

**Qualifications and Experience**
- 100 points of ID
- Un-restricted Australian Drivers Licence
- A current certificate to provide First-Aid - _completed within the last 3 years_
- A current certificate to provide CPR - _completed within the last 12 months_
- National Standard Police Clearance Check - _completed within the last 12 months_
- A current Working with Children’s Check (WWCC) - _for paid, unsupervised role_
- A current NDIS Worker Screening Check (NDISWSC)
- A current unrestricted Australian drivers license
- Comprehensive Third Party Car Insurance
- NDIS New Worker Orientation Module Certifications
- Covid19 Infection Control Training Certification
- A completed Certificate III/IV in Disabilities - _preferred but not essential_
- Minimum 12 months+ experience in supporting people living with cognitive, psychosocial disabilities - _preferred but not essential_
