North West Private Hospital has a casual opportunity for a Medical Records Clerk to join our friendly, vibrant team on a casual basis.

**About The Role**

As an administrative clerk within our medical records department, your role involves supporting the organised and efficient functioning of Health Information Services.

Joining our team and reporting to the Health Information Manager, you'll work closely with a friendly, tight-knit group that thrives on teamwork and fostering a welcoming, collaborative environment.

Your duties include but are not limited to:

- Addressing and resolving queries from both internal and external Health Professionals
- Handling Medico Legal requests within specified deadlines
- Preparing records for forthcoming Theatre lists
- Compiling medical records of discharged patents as needed
- Accurately filing medical records and correspondence
- Retrieving and providing requested medical records
- Managing the archiving and ‘culling’ for medical records
- Document control

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with colleagues, patients and families.
- Capability to handle demanding situations and meet strict deadlines.
- Demonstrated respect for privacy and confidentiality.
- Proven initiative-taking when required.
- Intermediate computer knowledge and literacy.
- Previous experience in a medical records department or similar clerical role within a healthcare setting.
- While prior experience in a private hospital setting is preferred, it is not essential.

**The Hospital**

North West Private Hospital, owned and operated by Ramsay Health Care, is a 101-bed hospital situated in the northern leafy suburbs of Brisbane. North West provides a wide range of health services including Urology, Colorectal Surgery, Day Oncology, Medical General and Plastic Surgery, Surgical Dermatology, Vascular, Breast and Endocrine Surgery, ENT, Orthopaedics, Obstetrics and Women's Health and Paediatrics.

**Requirements**:

- _Must provide a _**National Police** check conducted within the previous 12 months
- According to the role, Ramsay may require a **Working-With-Children** check and **proof of immunisation** against infectious diseases.
