**Overview**:
The multidisciplinary team at Proton's Melbourne Office is advancing hardware, software, and chemistry to deliver life-saving technology. We are seeking a proactive and solutions-oriented Supply Chain and Facilities Coordinator with a can-do attitude to drive the sourcing, purchasing, and operational delivery of components, equipment, and services that underpin our product development. This role bridges **supply chain, vendor management, and facilities coordination**, ensuring that our R&D and manufacturing teams have the materials, tools, and processes needed to succeed.

- Support facility (laboratory, workshop and manufacturing) operations, including equipment procurement, calibration, and preventative maintenance.
- Ensure laboratory, workshop, and manufacturing environments are operationally ready. Assist with packaging, labelling, and compliance-related procurement (e.g., sterilisation, cytotoxic testing services).- ** Process & Compliance**- Implement procurement processes aligned with medical device quality management systems (e.g., ISO 13485).
- Set up supplier agreements with critical suppliers.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, suppliers, and contracts for audit-readiness. Support operational readiness for clinical and regulatory milestones.- ** Cross-Functional Coordination**- Collaborate closely with engineering, R&D, and operations to forecast procurement needs.
- Contribute to project planning by aligning procurement timelines with product development milestones.
- Support the establishment of a scalable supply chain for future manufacturing.
**Qualifications & Skills**:
- Bachelor’s degree in **Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field** (or equivalent practical experience).
- 2-5 years of experience in **procurement, supply chain, or facility/R&D coordination**, preferably in medical devices, biotech, or advanced manufacturing.
- Understanding of **technical components** (electronics, lab equipment, consumables, or hardware).
- Excellent negotiation, organisational, and project management skills.
- Familiarity with **ISO 13485, GMP, or other regulated environments** is desirable.
- Hands-on, resourceful, and comfortable working in a **startup/scale-up** environment.
