THE OPPORTUNITY
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Shared Services Manager oversees Histopath’s accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, administration, and facilities functions.
As a key member of Histopath’s management team, the role is responsible for developing a vision and plan to enhance the shared services function. The role manages key internal and external relationships, including surgeons, medical centre practice manages, building managers, leasing agents and those key to the day to day running of Histopath.
The role also requires a strong people leader to engage and motivate the shared services team to deliver an exceptional offering.
**This person will be responsible for**:
- Develop a vision for Histopath’s shared services function and implement changes to improve the shared services offering
- Overseeing components of the accounting function. Key areas of coverage include accounts receivable, accounts payable, invoicing, bank reconciliations, GL reconciliations, and payroll
- Ensure our facilities are maintained, well presented, and free of WHS risks. This includes liaison with building management and agents
- Support and lead the establishment of new work environments, including the relocation of teams within existing worksites
- Managing and responding to external compliant or issues in relation to Histopath’s services. This includes liaison with internal teams to support any solutions and responses.
- Support with the management of key IT systems (e.g. - MYOB Accounting Software, and ELMO HR Software)
- Lead, support, mentor and develop a team of shared service professionals
ABOUT YOU
- Minimum of 10 years professional work experience
- Possesses strong leadership skills and has experience in managing and developing teams
- Strong project and program management skills to manage various work streams and priorities
- Strong communication skills with experience in dealing with external stakeholders and responding to queries, issues, and complaints
- Experience in partnering with business leaders to design, improve, implement, and run shared services functions
- Understanding of account payable and accounts receivable functions
- Strong systems experience, with the ability to identify areas for improvement and improve processes
