**Job Summary**:
The Critical Facilities Engineer III or IV will support the wider team by performing repairs and leading all aspects of site maintenance at our static site.
Strong interpersonal skills (particularly when speaking with onsite customers), attention to detail, engineering proficiency and a dedication to consistently achieving personal and team Equinix goals will be highly regarded.
**Key Responsibilities (of which you will be trained up in)**:
- Provides the team with technical support and advice
- Acts as SME and provides training to team members where needed
- Breakdown and Repairs Management
- Maintenance Scheduling and Planned Preventative Maintenance
- Maintaining Security Policy and Procedures
- Reporting - Reviews specialist contractual reports and activities
- Assess Consistency to Policy - Ensures all repairs performed on all data center infrastructure are completed according to the manufacturer’s guidelines and standard methodologies
- Problem Solving - root cause analysis and in the repair of failed components
- Teamwork -Liaises with regional construction or design teams on design changes
- Design - Validates design criteria for new principal power installations (e.g., single power source)
**Qualifications**:
- Trade Cert or Degree in related fields
- Willingness to work autonomously and unsupervised when required.
- Ideally some data center or mission critical exposure and experience
- Positive demeanor and outlook, enjoys working in a team environment.
- Ability to attain and maintain NV1 security clearance.
