Warehouse Operator

**Purpose**:

- This position combines three distinct duties, to enable resources to be diverted to match workload demands and staff availability.
- Assist in the day-to-day picking, packing, and shipping of goods within the despatch area
- Assist with the stock movements, locations, and reconciliation which includes management of NCR and customer owned goods
- Safe set-up and run of a slitting machine or turret, which includes the adjustment of slitting knifes, changing of shafts, sourcing cores, boxes and loading cores into the machine as specified on the Job Ticket and set out within the production plan.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Day to day stock movement from Labels floor/production, check quantities match the box quantities and scan into a location. Ensure a sign-off check by production shift manager on the pallet is shown.
- Outside manufactured Goods - print product purchase document, ensure quantity matches the document and arrive in a good condition. Sign the document and include date received, quantity received, stock location and condition of goods.
- Assist with the picking, packing, and wrapping, so the correct goods and quantities are shipped as per the Sales Picking Order
- Liaising with the Sales administration team to assist in rectifying issues that may cause delay with the picking and shipping of goods.
- Loading and unloading of goods in and out of the warehouse from and to the transport vehicles, assist transport drivers to load and unload as required ensuring good are received and despatched in good condition and all relevant paperwork is correct.
- Assist in managing warehouse stock locations and location availability by consolidating goods so that the warehouse is kept organised, clean, and tidy
- Ensure other employees observe all safety related aspects of their roles within the warehouse team, monitor the condition and use of the forklift vehicles and report any issues
- Assist in the Stocktaking process as required (monthly /or biannual /or annual)
- Liaise closely with production team, administration team and warehouse team on any issue that needs to be resolved.
- Assist other branch inquiries as requested.
- Available for a reasonable amount of overtime.
- Raise an NCR (Non-Conformance Report) and update NCR as needed.
- Escalate any work-related safety or operational issues that requires immediate attention to the Coordinator Administrator - Warehouse and Operations Support Administrator
- Undertake any other suitable duties as requested.
- Set-up a slitting machine or turret including the adjustment of slitting knifes, changing of rewind shafts sourcing core boxes and loading cores into the machine.
- Interpret and carry out all slitting and packing instructions as set out on the job work ticket.
- To slit and pack the label products from the printing presses in accordance with the instructions on the work ticket job specification. Including the calculation Operate either the slitting machine or turret rewind in a safe and well-maintained of labels per reel to suit the specified diameter, packing labels into cartons and stacking cartons onto a pallet.
- To operate the turret rewind machine in cooperation with the printing press operator.
- To carry out all responsibilities in a timely and accurate manner at the recommended production speed.
- Ensure the quality control check sheet is completed accurately and is correct to the work ticket ITEM CODE specifications.
- Practice safe working methods at all times.
- Perform incidental packing, rewinding or cleaning duties as directed by the shift or other managers, will carry out all reasonable ad-hoc work requests

**Skills & Experience**:

- Proficient skill level Microsoft Office.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Organised and able to meet deadlines.
- Target orientated.
- Receptive to new ideas and willing to initiate change
- Self-motivated requiring little motivation from others
- Must be sensitive to cultural differences within the workplace
- Forklift driver’s licence.

**Accountabilities**
- Operate a safe working environment in accordance with OHS&E standards and company policy. Report all unsafe practices or conditions to the Shift Manager.
- Report all inconsistencies or errors with a specification or work instruction.

**Salary**: $23.62 - $28.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

- INGLEBURN, NSW 2565: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Warehouse: 1 year (preferred)
