**The Opportunity**:

- ** Full-Time 1.0 EFT | Ongoing contract of employment**:

- ** H.EDC $122,728 - $131,291 per annum pro rata + 12% super + leave loading (dependent on qualifications and experience)**:

- ** Chadstone Campus - onsite parking with close proximity to public transport**

- The Bachelor of Fashion Design, delivered by the Design and Finishing Trades department, offers a hands-on, industry-connected learning experience in state-of-the-art facilities. With access to specialised design and pattern-making studios, students benefit from expert teaching staff who are active in the fashion industry and engaged in events like Melbourne Fashion Week. Strong industry partnerships provide valuable real-world project opportunities and pathways into the fashion design profession.
- The Course Leader plays a vital leadership role, managing staff and students while ensuring the course remains aligned with industry standards and academic excellence. Key responsibilities include overseeing curriculum delivery, student progress, and timetabling, as well as guiding students through industry engagement, awards, and collaborative opportunities with key stakeholders.

**As a Course Leader you will**:

- Manage timetables, update curriculum, and ensure academic compliance with institutional standards and deadlines.
- Support and mentor teaching staff, promoting quality education and professional development.
- Contribute to quality reporting, marketing, course promotion, and represent the program at internal and external events.

**To be successful, you’ll have**:

- A Master’s degree or higher in relevant Fashion or Textiles discipline, with industry experience and relevant teaching qualifications preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Higher Education and Vocational programs, with expertise in at least one fashion-related teaching area.
- Well-developed communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed and impactful decisions.
- High digital and technical literacy, with a focus on integrating innovation into teaching and learning environments.
- Ability to engage stakeholders across industry, alumni, community, and government to build meaningful connections and opportunities.
- Accountable, collaborative, adaptable, and innovative, with a proactive approach to work and continuous improvement.
- ** WWCC and Police Check**:Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining an ‘employee’ Working with Children Check, and a valid Police Check within the last 12 months.
