**What you'll be doing**

Provide opportunities whereby consumers engaged with the Shoalhaven Community Mental Health Rehabilitation Service may choose to participate in exercise activities which promote improved physical health, wellbeing, self-esteem, and personal fulfilment.
The Exercise Physiologist position will work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team of the Shoalhaven Community Mental Health Rehabilitation Service (SCMHRS) to develop, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness and acceptability of targeted lifestyle interventions to reduce cardio-metabolic risk factors in consumers with mental illness.
The position will contribute to a holistic assessment of the consumer's physical health, developing an individualised and tailored exercise program to meet the consumer's physical health needs and evaluate the effectiveness and acceptability of the program.
The position will contribute to the development of resources for consumers, their families and carers and clinicians.

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Please provide proof of vaccination if available.

**Selection Criteria**:

- Tertiary qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the Award, with eligibility for accreditation as an Exercise Physiologist with ESSA; demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Recent, relevant post graduate clinical experience in Exercise Physiology management of consumers with complex health needs.
- Demonstrated experience in providing exercise physiology assessments, prescription of evidence-based individual and group exercise programs, and evaluation of interventions using appropriate outcome measures.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously at an advanced level with limited supervision as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Demonstrated excellent time management skills and managing a busy caseload.
- Demonstrated high level written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to liaise with jun and senior health professionals and external service providers.
- Demonstrated computer literacy, including experience with health related medical records systems.
