Position summary

Downer is one of Australia’s largest and most experienced providers in the Power Systems and Infrastructure Projects sector. We have recently secured several major projects and are seeking an experienced Project Planner to successfully support the tendering and delivery of power projects nationally.

This position will support the Project Managers and Frontline leaders and can be based in either VIC, QLD or NSW Downer Offices.

ABOUT YOU

Degree/Associate Diploma qualified in a construction / engineering field as well as possessing relevant industry experience in construction.

Preferably 5-10 years’ experience in a similar role within the Engineering or construction industries with 5 years on site construction practices and processes experience.

Proficient with Primavera P6 experience.

Proven ability in identifying and assessing changes to the schedule and mitigations to overcome any delays.

Provide leadership, coordination and technical support to the planning team to meet the requirements of the project schedule

Proven experience with Occupations/Possession Planning and coordination.

You will be commercially savvy and demonstrated experience in Identifying delays and undertake mitigation measures to drive commercial process such as program recovery, delay notices, EOT etc.

Able to build strong relationships and communicate across project team.

Experienced in developing detailed look ahead programs, detailed occupations/Site possessions programs on an hourly basis.

Undertake Site Visit and Interrogate Project progress with foreman, engineers, superintendents.

Weekly and Monthly Program updates and associated reports.

Undertake Program resourcing and Experience in Earned Value Management reporting.
