Overview

We are seeking a Project Planner in Sydney to support the delivery of large-scale Transmission and Distribution projects. This role will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and maintaining project schedules, ensuring accurate planning and reporting to support on-time and successful project delivery. The Project Planner will work closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to provide insights that drive Australia's energy transition.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, update, and maintain project schedules using industry-standard planning tools.
  • Monitor project progress against baseline schedules, identifying delays and risks.
  • Provide regular progress reports, forecasts, and variance analyses to project leadership.
  • Collaborate with project teams to optimise sequencing, resource allocation, and timelines.
  • Support claims, extensions of time, and risk assessments with accurate planning data.
  • Ensure compliance with project controls processes and reporting standards.

Required Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Project Planner or Scheduler within the energy sector ideally in transmission & distribution.
  • Strong knowledge of project planning methodologies, scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project), and project controls.
  • Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams on complex projects.
  • Ability to analyse project data, identify risks, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Understanding of contract frameworks and their impact on planning and reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline (preferred but not essential).
