**About the role**:
John Holland has a successful history in Queensland, with the delivery of some of its most complex infrastructure projects, from roads and tunnels, to bridges, ports and marine, dams and water infrastructure. John Holland is strategically positioned to continue its success in these fields of infrastructure, along with the anticipation of work winning leading into the 2032 Olympics.

We are looking to appoint an experienced Estimating Manager for our Infrastructure division based in Brisbane. This role will report to the Chief Estimating Manager - Infrastructure, and essentially be responsible for the work winning strategy for this region, including business development, client relations, and tendering strategy.

**What you will do**:

- Lead and manage a high performing team of Estimators
- Oversee the preparation of estimates and submission of tenders
- Ensure costs for estimates are based on realistic timing and cost structures
- Liaise with external consultants in bidding for projects
- Manage investigation and analysis of detail estimates and projects for factors and costs
- Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and planning authorities to ensure satisfactory completion of structures and construction
- Complete forecast and tender cost reporting
- Collate and present tender cost information for handover at project launch
- Monitor performance of subordinates to ensure high standards of technical performance in estimating and cost planning functions
- Ensure legislative, pre-contract and commercial obligations are met, including compliance with relevant Building Code

**To be successful in this key role, you must have**:

- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Construction, or Sciences/Project Management
- Held an identical role in Estimating and with proven success in work winning strategies
- Demonstrated experience in the infrastructure sector, preferably with exposure to roads, water and dams
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to direct a team to achieve key objectives
- Demonstrated commercial acumen, either in a bid management capacity or through project delivery experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
