We have a newly created role for a Communications and Change Lead to join our team and be at the forefront of shaping strategic and innovative communications for Downer’s Business Services Centre.

Reporting to the Executive General Manager Business Services, the Communications and Change Lead will be instrumental in crafting and executing strategic communication plans to support the Business Services Centre operational, continuous improvement and change initiatives. This role offers a unique opportunity to leverage your communication talents and deep understanding of change management principles to drive employee engagement, stakeholder alignment and the successful adoption of change.

**What You’ll Be Doing**:

- Lead strategic communications by developing and executing communication plans, driving the right messages to the right people at the right time.
- Drive communication campaigns aligned with the Business Services Centre strategic plan, including the promotion of initiatives and communication of key milestones.
- Spearhead the smooth roll out of communications across the Business Services Centre and the broader business.
- Be the voice behind the Business Services Centre, curating key internal and external communications.
- Provide support and engaging internal communication assets to key business leaders and encourage active communication with teams.
- Encourage and foster an environment of knowledge sharing, innovation and continuous improvement.

**What You’ll Bring**:

- Tertiary qualification in Business, Communications, Change
- Proven experience (5+ years) in communications, with a focus on change management and communication to various stakeholders
- Strong understanding of change management principles and methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience with digital communication tools and platforms.
- Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to translate complex concepts into clear, concise, and engaging messages.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong collaboration skills, interpersonal and consulting skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder relationships.
