Sessional teaching and pre-service teacher mentoring roles are available in our early childhood initial teacher education Bachelor and Graduate Diploma programs at Victoria University. We are seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced Early Childhood Teachers to teach on a sessional basis in Early Childhood Teacher Education units of study.

Minimum time required for sessional teaching, preparation and marking is approximately 18 hours per week. In-person and online-real-time teaching, day or evening, Melbourne metro and some regional work is available. Pre-service teacher mentoring requires min. 4 hours a week.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Teach units within the Early Childhood courses
- Able to teach units in a variety of innovative delivery modes include face-to-face, blended, block, and online in real time.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and assessment
- Collaborate with colleagues within the courses including both sessional and on-going staff members
- Work within the framework of Victoria University’s policies, procedures and legislative/regulatory requirements.

VU teaches in the **Block Model**. This means we have four blocks of four weeks each semester. Students study one unit at a time. Lecturers can teach a **maximum**of two classes per block.
