**Position Overview**:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team in providing exceptional care to a 2-year-old client with a genetic defect, epilepsy, developmental delays, and specialized nutritional requirements including NGT feeds. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the life of a child and their family.
**Responsibilities**:
- Provide hands-on care and support to the client in accordance with their individualized care plan.
- Assist with daily activities including feeding, bathing, dressing, and mobility support.
- Monitor the client's health and well-being, including administering medication as required.
- Implement therapeutic activities and developmental interventions tailored to the client's needs.
- Collaborate with the client's family, healthcare professionals, and other team members to ensure continuity of care and progress monitoring.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of care provided.
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities, preferably with experience in pediatric care.
- Understanding of the complexities associated with genetic defects, epilepsy, and developmental delays.
- Ability to administer NGT feeds and manage specialized feeding equipment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, families, and team members.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to care.
- Relevant qualifications in disability support, nursing, or a related field are highly desirable.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.

- National Police Certificate (preferred)
- Driver Licence (preferred)
