**About Us**
EdenCare Support Services is seeking a compassionate and experienced Disability Support Worker to provide person-centered support to a long-term client living with a progressive neurological condition in the Kealba/Sunshine area.

This part-time role is ideal for someone confident with high-intensity supports who values consistency, respectful care, and meaningful engagement. You’ll be working in a calm, private home environment as part of a stable support team.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Personal care and high-intensity supports (e.g. hoist transfers, PEG feeding/flushing, ventilator support - training provided)
- Assist with daily routines: hygiene, meal preparation, light domestic tasks
- Community access and transport assistance
- Participation in creative or therapeutic activities tailored to the client’s interests
- Clear and respectful communication with the client, family, and care team
- Record accurate shift notes and report changes to the care team

**Availability**
- Tuesdays & Thursdays - 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Flexibility for additional shifts may be offered in future

**Who We’re Looking For**

We’re seeking a support worker who is not only technically skilled but also thoughtful, consistent, and emotionally attuned. You’ll be working with a client who values meaningful conversations, creative activities, and a calm, grounded presence.
- Minimum Cert III in Individual Support, Nursing, or a related qualification
- Prior experience with high-intensity supports (PEG, ventilator, hoist) preferred
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Reliable, respectful, and comfortable working independently in a private home
- A genuine interest in creative hobbies or hands-on activities is highly regarded
- The client has expressed a preference for a female support worker, ideally someone who is middle-aged and of Australian background, to support cultural alignment and rapport

**Pay & Benefits**
- SCHADS Level 2 (rates starting from $33.96-$34.46/hr + super)
- Ongoing training in high-intensity supports provided (PEG, ventilator, hoist)

**Essential Requirements**
- Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to obtain)
- WWCC (Employee)
- First Aid & CPR Certification
- National Police Check
- Infection Control Certificate
- COVID-19 vaccination
- Driver’s license and reliable car
- Full working rights in Australia

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual
