- Sedgman has an opportunity for a junior to mid-level Civil Designer to join our Engineering Team in Brisbane to support studies, tenders and design projects across the globe and within multiple commodities such as copper, iron-ore, gold and rare earth minerals.**The role will require but not be limited to**:
**Design Drafting**
- To prepare civil 3D designs and drafting relating to bulk earth works, drainage, pavements, haul roads, plant, equipment, services or other facilities or structures.
- Complete designs to a high standard from concept phase through to detailed design under the direction of engineers or a supervising design drafter.
- Participate in the review of designs and advise on technical drafting difficulties or compliance requirements as appropriate.
- Comply with the Change Management process for engineering design.
- Upkeep of drawing list and percentage complete status.

**Quality Management**
- Participate in the development and continuous improvement of the Quality management process and system.
- Understand Sedgman standard specifications and typical/standard drawings to reflect current industry standards.

**What are we looking for?**

**Qualifications**:

- Associate Diploma in CAD / Associate Degree in Engineering or equivalent.

**Essential skills, knowledge and experience**:

- Minimum 2 years’ experience in design/consultancy environment.
- Experience with 12D, AutoCAD or Civil 3D software

**Desired skills, knowledge and experience**:

- Skills in MS Office suite
- Experience in Microstation
- Experience in heavy industry environment
