The Department for Child Protection is seeking an **Aboriginal Adventure Activity Instructor, Child & Youth Worker** to join us on a full-time ongoing basis.

The role is responsible for:

- Developing, delivering and reviewing programs in conjunction with the Team Leader, focusing on the emotional, physical, cultural, educational and behavioural development for Aboriginal children and young people.
- Building and maintaining working relationships with relevant cultural leaders, agencies, associations and communities to share resources and coordinate connected services.
- Involving young people in decisions which affect them and consider their options when formulating programs.
- Undertaking research to identify best practices and alternative options, providing written and oral reports.

**About You**

We are looking for a dynamic and confident individual with knowledge of the issues relating to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, young people and communities.

You will use your knowledge and experience of behaviour change models and adventure therapy to deliver a range of program approaches to meet children and young people’s needs.
