**The Opportunity**
Join the Rider Safe team as a casual Instructor, delivering statewide motorcycle training and assessment for the issue of motor bike learners permits and licensing in South Australia. In this hands-on role, you’ll help improve road safety by teaching both theory and practical riding skills, assessing riders, and supporting program improvements.

You’ll work on weekdays and/or weekends in both metropolitan and regional locations as needed. The role may involve assisting with maintaining training ranges; the motorcycle fleet; operational tasks; and using departmental systems to record course results. A focus on customer service, quality, and compliance underpins everything you do.

Current statewide facilities are located at St Agnes, Murray Bridge, Barmera, Port Pirie, Whyalla and Millicent.

**About You**
Are you an active and experienced licenced motorcycle rider who values road safety and has a passion for sharing knowledge and skills with others?

Do you enjoy working with others to provide a positive customer experience, communicate clearly, and work effectively as part of a team?

Are you confident in troubleshooting operational issues, with a focus on service delivery to keep programs running smoothly?

**Educational Qualifications/ Licences**
- Must hold a current unconditional South Australian Motorcycle licence (R class) licence for a minimum of two years - Essential.
- HLTAID011 Provide first aid including HLTAID009 (CPR) and HLTAID010 (BELS) - Essential.
- TAE40166 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or higher) - Desirable.

**Special Conditions**
- A National Police Check (NPC) is required prior to employment in the Department for Infrastructure and Transport which must be renewed every three years.
- A Working with Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to employment with the Department for Infrastructure and Transport, which must be renewed every five years before expiry.
- Must be prepared to wear the Departments Rider Safe Uniform and Personal Protective equipment, which is provided, during Rider Safe courses.
- Must be prepared to work in all weather conditions.
- Must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation (e.g. lifting fallen motorcycles).
- Must be a current active motorcycle rider with a traffic violation record which in the opinion of the Minister for Transport and Infrastructure, or delegate, would not make the appointee undesirable to the public interest.
- Some out of hours and weekend work, along with some intra/interstate travel requiring overnight stays, may be required.
- The role is casual, and hours of attendance will be on a business need only with no guarantee of the number of hours rostered per month.

**Remuneration**
OPS4 - $76,5619 to $80,256 pa + superannuation (fulltime salary equivalent)
