**About the opportunity**:
Based at our Canberra office you will report to the Construction Manager and be a key member of the ACT team you will oversee all construction projects for a designated area, delivering leadership and support the Construction Supervisor’s allocated to that area, ensuring a consistent building process and a quality product whilst always demonstrating MJH NSW’s core values.
More specifically, your responsibilities will include:

- Manage and support a team of up to 8 Construction Supervisors ensuring they are all meeting their agreed KPI’s.
- Ensure compliance with the building contract and building codes by regularly reviewing the progress and quality of the construction process and taking corrective action, where necessary.
- Investigate damage, accidents or delays on construction sites and take corrective action as required.
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with employees to discuss performance, provide feedback and set tasks and targets.
- Manage complaints, settle disputes, and resolve grievance and conflict, where possible.
- Ensure Construction Supervisors are completing their client portals and companion records daily.
- Ensure sites are clean and tidy at all times.
- Contribute to the Company revenue and waste reduction through programming, monitoring suppliers/contractors performance, approving invoices after work has been completed and checked whilst always looking for opportunities to improve.
- Minimise overruns (ETS) back charge as required.

**About you**:
You will share a passion for our purpose to be Australia’s leading residential builder and be aligned to our core values (Think Bigger, People Matter, Better Together and Be Accountable). In addition, you will demonstrate:

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven experience in a supervisory or management role
- Foresight and a strategic focus, with effective decision making
- Residential construction experience in project delivery, customer support and operations
- Understanding of building regulations and codes
- Experience in estimating/drafting would also be highly regarded
- Ability to drive a team to deliver high quality projects
