**The Opportunity**

A 6-month fixed-term contract opportunity to join the Procurement Operations team, as a Procurement Systems Specialist.

Your objective as the Procurement Systems Specialist, is to enable our systems to make buying the right way, easier. The role will transform the way we buy, leveraging the Ariba tool to automate and gain efficiencies and to focus on simplifying and effectively operationalising our processes and controls.

The Procurement Systems Specialist will have an in-depth understanding of the Procurement system Ariba and its ‘Procure to Pay’ and ‘Source to Contract’ processes to drive alignment and deliver operational excellence. You will collaborate closely with all internal business units, the Procurement Team, third party suppliers, your external Medibank network of Ariba users and technology partners such as SAP Ariba.

**Key Accountabilities include**:

- Embed a culture of excellent customer service and delivery against expectations in relation to the Procurement Systems Specialist role.
- Proactively engage with and understand business needs and work collaboratively to deliver outcomes that meet or exceed expectations.
- Support the Systems & Process Manager in developing and implementing the Procurement system strategy pipeline and understanding of its purpose, functionality and integration to our systems and processes.
- Ensure the integrity and availability of the Procurement System by monitoring and managing system performance and its administrative tasks.
- Assist internal and external IT stakeholders in troubleshooting and resolving tickets in relation to systems in a timely and effective manner.

They will have a strong ability to build rapport, establish constructive relationships, be comfortable presenting to groups, and can communicate in an engaging manner that captures the attention of others.

Additionally, this Unicorn enjoys working autonomously, is self-driven, no stranger to working on concurrent tasks and initiatives and thrives when learning.

Previous experience working in the health care and/or insurance industry is highly advantageous.
