An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and passionate Registered Nurse to undertake a Hospital Educator role at a private hospital near Brisbane. It's a permanent part-time opportunity (64 hours per fortnight).

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

As a Hospital Educator, you will play a key role in ensuring the planning, development and teaching of nursing and student nursing education programs at the hospital are well thought out and executed. Your responsibilities will include planning, developing and delivering nursing education programs within the hospital, coordinating and providing hands-on educational support and clinical teaching/facilitation and orientation to all staff, graduate nurses & students, promoting a high standard of evidence-based nursing care to all patients, through the dissemination of current best practice knowledge, supervising staff compliance to annual Mandatory Training and completion of eLearning components, ensuring best practice competency-based programs are available and assessment of staff competencies are provided for all operating theatre staff.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Current nursing registration with AHPRA;
- Certificate IV workplace training and Assessment (TAE) (or working towards);
- Post Graduate Certificate in a related specialty area (or working towards);
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in the education of Nurses or other relevant profession preferred;
- Demonstrated experience in eLearning platform preferred;
- A high degree of computer literacy, including MS Office;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are preferred;
- Be able to develop and deliver learning presentations for students and other professionals within the hospital;
- Be able to motivate others to work with you in developing and professional plan of education for the hospital workforce;

**ABOUT THE FACILITY**

The hospital, located north of Brisbane, is a 70-bed mental health facility specialising in Substance-Related and Addictive Disorders, Mood Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Personality Disorders and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. It provides a range of inpatient, day-patient and specialised therapies in EMDR, TMS and ECT.
