Hse Advisor

UGLs Manufacturing and Maintenance business are looking for a
- **HSE Advisor** to join our $2.3 billion New Intercity Fleet (NIF) project team. This project will oversee the replacement of trains carrying customers from Sydney to the Central Coast, Newcastle, the Blue Mountains and the South Coast. UGL will operate a new maintenance facility and provide maintenance and asset management services to the new fleet for 15 years.

**About the Role**
- This role will be offered on a permanent full-time basis working at the Kangy Angy maintenance facility on the NSW Central Coast. Applicants must be living or willing to travel or relocate to the Central Coast for this site-based role.
- Reporting to the HSE Manager, the role of the HSE Advisor shall support the HSE Manager to facilitate effective implementation of WHS, Rail Safety, Workers Compensation & Injury Management, and Environmental (HSE) processes and systems to continually improve our safety and environmental performance, and meet legal requirements, and UGL minimum standards. The role will provide advice and mentoring on WHS, rail safety, worker’s compensation, and environmental compliance matters, as well as assisting in identifying and implementing best practice solutions to prevent incidents.
- The role will be responsible for ensuring governance processes are implemented to assist management in ensuring the HSE legal and business requirements are being met, and injuries appropriately classified and managed.

**About You**
- Previous experience in a HSE or Similar role gained in the rail, automotive, military, Defence, avionics or any other safety critical environment.
- In depth knowledge of the WH&S, Environment and Workers Compensation legislation.
- Demonstrated capability to develop and implement safety management systems.
- External Lead Auditor Training highly desired
- Knowledge of AS 4801, ISO 9001/14001, ISO31000 and Rail Safety National Law.
- Qualification (Diploma or greater) in a Safety, Health and Environment related discipline.
- Cert IV in Training and Assessment is required
- Trained in Incident Investigation (ICAM preferable).
