**The Division**

The Customer Strategy and Technology team within Transport leads the development of long-term, multi-modal strategies, plans and policies across NSW. We leverage data and insights, implement new technologies, drive innovation and build partnerships to provide customer-centred solutions.

**The opportunity**

Right now, we have an exciting opportunity for a **Travel demand and planning analyst** to join us in the Customer Strategy and Experience team.

The role will be responsible for supporting the provision of strategic business and project planning analysis, including leading the analysis of data to identify customer uplift and network performance deficiencies and preparing studies/reports, to contribute to organisational decision-making for customer groups

**What you will be involved in**

If successful, you will work to deliver in a complex environment with multiple sources of data and assist with Passenger and demand forecast for strategic projects as well as:

- Support the sourcing of data from a variety of sources.
- Assist with development and preparation of materials for the Executive Management Team, including preparing draft documents, briefing notes, responses, proposals, and presentations.
- Ensuring that accurate and relevant data, information, reports and recommendations are provided in a timely manner
- Review trends in data or information requests and propose improvements to services and processes based on the data
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate proper data analysis, interpretation and report preparation

**About you**

You are a data analytics professional (ideally dealing with Travel data or any other form of big data) with extensive data management experience gained within a complex project environment with senior level stakeholders.

You have the ability (and enjoy) reviewing trends and proposing improvements based on data. This includes the ability to report on demand forecasting and performance reports, interpreting the result and communicating the same to senior management in a clear and timely manner. You are highly skilled in MS Office suite of products. Experience in R scripting or Python would be highly regarded.

You will be an autonomous operator, a self starter and collaborator by nature with the ability to build relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders both internally and externally.

The salary for this position is Transport Grade 6 $94,879 - $104,367 per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
