Journeyman and Light Years are looking for hospitality superstars to join our friendly team. We are seeking experienced Venue Manager, Assisstant Manager and Baristas for both locations.

The roles and responsibilities of Venue Manager and ASSISTANT MANAGERinclude:

- Day to day running of the cafe, ensuring exceptional level of customer service
- Hiring and training of new staff members
- Building rapport and relationships with new and existing customers
- Creating fortnightly staff roster
- Keeping track of inventory; ordering from suppliers
- Ensuring the café is well-presented with an exceptional level of hygiene
- Maintenance of equipment

To be considered please make sure you have:

- Barista experience - willing to improve your coffee brewing skills and knowledge. You will have opportunity to learn from some of the best in the specialty coffee industry
- At least 1 year experience in busy café / hospitality management
- Ability to work under pressure
- Great problem solving skill
- Good time management skill
- Outstanding leadership and communication skills
- An energetic person with positive attitude
- Strong understanding of costs and waste management
- Create an efficient and fun environment for staff and customers

The successful applicant for the BARISTA role should have the following attributes:

- Worked in high volume specialty café as a barista for at least 1 year.
- Have a thorough understanding of coffee origins, brew methods and service.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn and adjust.
- Work well in a team.
- Hold high standards in the integrity and presentation of their work.
- Ability to foster customer loyalty and rapport.
- Well-presented, hard working, reliable and punctual.
- Must be available to work weekends.
