Exploration Geologist

**THE OPPORTUNITY**:
Reporting to the
**Senior Exploration Geologist**, the
**Exploration Geologist **is responsible for performing geological and exploration services including drill rig supervision, geological mapping and field services.

This is a full time and permanent position, with a 8/6 roster based at our Pilgangoora Operation.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Assist with targeting and planning of exploration drill programs within Pilgangoora and other regional tenure areas.
- Supervision of exploration drilling and rock and soil sampling programs.
- Geological logging of RC drill samples
- Geological logging of diamond drill core, including geotechnical logging
- Ensure quality control of sampling methodology.
- Undertaking geological mapping programs
- Evaluation and assessment of geochemical data
- Supervise PLS field assistants and assist Field Manager with coordination of field logistics.
- Communicate with key stakeholders including drillers, earthmoving operators, mine geology team, operators, surveyors and mining engineers in the execution of the exploration program.
- Assist the Exploration Manager with the assessment of new project opportunities as directed.
- Assist with the preparation of technical presentations as requested.
- Competent use of software including Leapfrog, QGIS, and OCRIS

**ABOUT YOU**:

- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and collaborate to achieve results.
- Attention to detail.
- Degree in Geology
- WA C class Manual Driver License
- Able to work with mínimal supervision.
