Our client is a national organisation encompassing businesses in various sectors from food manufacturing, financial investments & developments, a property division comprising Commercial Office buildings, Residential & Industrial. There is an exciting opportunity for an experienced **WHS Manager**.

This role will see you manage the WHS program and continue to build a safety culture throughout the business ensuring compliance of the company’s Health & Safety Management Systems and Property Risk Programs. Ability to build strong relationships through visible safety management, influence others and the ability to challenge and make things right is paramount to championing best practice and maintaining a culture of “safety first”.

**Salary $100-120k + SUPER**

**Responsibilities This includes, but is not limited to;**
- Create annual WHS site improvement programs and manage the Emergency Management Program, organising annual emergency and evacuation training for all sites
- Develop, maintain and implement an annual program of training, audits, risk assessments, tool box talks, contractor management protocols
- Conduct investigations of safety related incidents, liaise with all regulatory authorities and ensure any corrective actions are implemented
- Communicate, promote and manage the Company's vision with respect to WHS standards and behaviours
- Liaise with and provide advice to Executive and senior management in the development and review of relevant safety strategies & resources
- Schedule and deliver WHS & compliance training to managers, employees and contractors
- Review the safety performance of each Business Unit and the organisation generally against benchmarks
- Define and set targets as well as monitor actual performance in relation to WHS metrics

**Your skills and experience**
- Qualifications in occupational health and safety (or similar)
- Minimum of 5 years hands-on practical experience in Health & Safety roles across busy multi faceted businesses in middle management
- Previous experience in blue collar FMCG industry highly desirable
- Incident, investigation and root cause analysis experience
- Ability to influence and drive change
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, reporting and analysis
- **The ability to travel interstate** (approx. every second month), also **hold a current driver’s license and have your own reliable vehicle** (vehicle allowance forms part of the salary package) to travel to sites.
