**About Us**
Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission.
Collectively, Victoria's Supreme, County, Magistrates', Children's, and Coroners courts, the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), the Judicial College of Victoria, the Judicial Commission of Victoria, and Court Services Victoria (CSV) are referred to as the 'Courts Group'.
Our people enable the Courts Group to deliver on each jurisdiction's own strategic priorities while also pursuing strategic opportunities that are interconnected and deliver benefits more broadly.
**VCAT**
The Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) is a justice service that resolves a wide range of disputes for the Victorian community, including renting, planning, and consumer disputes. VCAT is committed to delivering an accessible service for all Victorians and is transforming our digital products and services to make it faster, easier, and more convenient for people to come to the tribunal.
VCAT is the busiest tribunal in Australia, handling over 83,000 cases annually across a broad range of civil, administrative, and human rights matters that significantly affect the daily lives of Victorians. Operating as a tribunal rather than a court, VCAT emphasises accessibility, informality, and timely resolution through alternative dispute resolution methods like mediation. As part of Victoria's independent justice system, VCAT receives administrative support from Court Services Victoria (CSV), a statutory body that also supports the state's courts and judicial institutions.
**About the Role**
This role is dedicated to planning for and managing activities and processes at VCAT to ensure preparedness to the situations impacting safety, emergency and business continuity in VCAT's CBD and suburbane venues.
This role will partner with stakeholders across Court Services Victoria (CSV) and VCAT to drive improvements and ensure quality in the planning, reaction and recovery from emergencies and incidents. You will have a dedicated focus to support and enable VCAT to respond and recover to any event that may affect it and to protect VCAT's users, employees, infrastructure, assests, information and operations.
Your duties will include:
- working with key stakeholders to develop, enhance and maintain incident response across VCAT's CBD and suburban venues
- developing VCAT's Business Continuity and Emergency Management plans in line with business strategies and objectives
- developing a greater breadth of capability (including an on-call skills pool) for incident support roles such as long keeping and logistics
- developing and executing scenario training plans, both desktop and real time tests
- establishing and effectively maintaining clear lines of professional and high-quality communication structure within VCAT and between VCAT's executives and key stakeholders
- preparing high quality written material, briefs and reports for the CEO, Executives and relevant committees
- working with facilities to maintain physical incident management facilities
