**About the role**
In this time of growth for our city it is vital we ensure our planning, strategy and governance is in place to take us into the future.
As Manager, Strategy, Governance and Performance, you will lead and manage the branch responsible for corporate planning and performance, strategy development, enterprise project management and governance, risk and compliance. This role offers an opportunity to drive continuous improvement, operational excellence, and a safety-first culture.
You will deliver key strategic and tactical priorities and:
- Manage operational and capital budget preparation, resource allocation, and program delivery
- Lead the team enabling them to perform at their best and achieve efficiencies
- Develop and implement continuous improvement of integrated operational and strategic planning and performance reporting frameworks
- Direct the preparation and management of Council's annual plan, corporate planning, and performance reporting

**About you**
To be a successful leader for this branch you will have:
- Significant contemporary knowledge and experience in the effective and successful leadership of strategy, governance and performance functions
- Outstanding interpersonal communication skills to develop and sustain productive relationships with key stakeholders
- Proven experience leading a branch of professional employees to deliver a range of high-quality services to customers and stakeholders
- The ability to lead change and continuous improvement optimising resources and achieving value for money
