APS 5 Program/Policy Officer role with the Home and Residential Division.

The Home and Residential Division is responsible for providing aged care to older Australians in the setting that suits their needs and preferences. It is responsible for the reform work to improve aged care services at home and in residential care.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

- Contribute to quality improvement activities.
- Contract and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Manage funding agreements and payments.
- Analyse, interpret, and evaluate information.
- Interpret existing policy to deliver operational activities.
- Assist with drafting briefing papers, Ministerial correspondence, and Ministerial Information Requests.
- Draft communications with internal and external stakeholders
- Assist in the development of policy documents for review and publication.
- Develop plans and objectives for short-term tasks of the work area and contribute to strategic planning for longer-term initiatives of the section.
- Actively contribute to a positive, inclusive, and supportive team culture.
