About us
The Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV) is a jurisdiction within the Court Services Victoria statutory authority, and has a long history of providing justice for the people of Victoria in metropolitan and regional courts across the state.
The Court determines in excess of 300,000 cases per annum at 51 venues, equating to approximately 90 per cent of all cases that come before Victorian courts each year. The Court aims to be an innovative, accessible and responsive court that provides quality services to the Victorian community.
About the role
The NJC registrar will be part of a team providing administrative support to the NJC court and will be required to perform a wide range of administrative tasks as well as exercise powers conferred to them under the Magistrates' Court Act 1989 and other Acts and Rules.
The NJC registrar position involves a close and collaborative working relationship with other NJC registrars, the NJC Magistrate, Victoria Police, Corrections Victoria, solicitors, support services and local community organisations. Furthermore, the NJC registrar will participate in community engagement and education around the operation of the NJC.

Experience working in a Registry role and supporting all court users
An ability to collaborate and work in teams.
